I’ve contacted the agent and organised to go and look at the house I like at 11am on Saturday.
After talking to the agent a bit he did mention that Kyogle Council required the house to have a new septic fitted; he advised that this would cost around $10,000 but after a bit of research it will be closer to $15,000.
I’m hoping this house is as good as I think it will be.
I gained provisional approval for my mortgage today. I still have to provide more paperwork (which I will do tomorrow) and then all that is required is for the bank to approve the value of the house.
I purchased a new 40 gallon (3ft) aquarium today. I’m planning to set it up as a community tank, but not until after I move house.
I didn’t win any of the tenders I placed. I’ll have to try again next time.
I popped past the Tender Centre this morning to see what they had. I ended up placing the following bids:
- RJays motorcycle jacket $20.00
- 3ft aquarium with black stand $30.00
- 2.5ft aquarium with accessories $15.00
- Small fridge (desktop size) $10.00
Hopefully I’ll get the aquariums and the bike jacket. The fridge would be cool, but completly unnecessary.
I called up about the house in Wiangaree and found out that it is within the 1 in 100 flood zone (which last occurred in 1954) but during the second highest flood on record (in 2007) the water did not reach the property.
I’ll be calling the agent on Wednesday (when he is back from holidays) and will organise viewing the house next weekend.
When I got home today (Thursday) I discovered that Fastway Couriers had left the Hailea chiller on my doorstep.
I’m very impressed with the quick delivery of this item, but I am extremely unhappy with the fact that Fastway has left the chiller sitting on the doorstep where anyone could have taken it. Why was a delivery note not left so I could collect the chiller from their distribution centre as all other courier companies do?
So I’m going to try and and look at several houses this weekend. There are two houses in Casino, one in Wiangaree and one in Lismore. Hopefully one of these will suit what I want, but I already think I will have to compromise due to budget constraints.
Well it’s all happening; I’ve emailed Aussie giving them the go-ahead to submit my mortgage application to ANZ, so I should know within a week if I’ve got it or not. Wish me luck!
OMFG! Amazing!
The TIO has just called me and told me they have confirmation that the record of my debt has been removed. I called Veda Advantage to confirm this and they said it was deleted this morning. I even called Vodafone and thanked them for following it up and getting the issue resolved.
Now tonight I can do the last couple of bits needed for my mortgage application!
I’m so excited now!
